Instructions for Authors
Articles in English only, accompanied by an electronic version (Microsoft Word) sent by e-mail, are accepted for consideration.
Page parameters: top and bottom margins – 2.5 cm, left and right margins – 2.0 cm. Formatting. First lines of all paragraphs with an indent of 1.0 cm, Times New Roman font, size 10, spacing 1. Title of the article – size 14, lowercase. Headings of the main text elements are highlighted in bold.
Article structure:
- initials, surnames of all authors (no more than 5 people) and title of the article (up to 10 words) in two languages – English, Ukrainian (full-page formatting);
- abstract (in English and Ukrainian) (200‒300 words) must be structured and contain the following elements: goal; methodology; results; scientific novelty; practical significance; keywords (6–8 words), the abstract should not repeat the title of the article;
- the main text of the article;
- a list of references (Reference);
- abstract and keywords in Ukrainian;
The main text of the article should contain the following necessary elements:
- statement of the problem (Introduction);
- analysis of recent research and publications (Literature review);
- highlighting previously unresolved parts of the general problem;
- formulation of the purpose of the article (task statement) (Purpose);
- description of the methodology (structure, sequence) of conducting the research (Methods);
- presentation of the main material and obtained scientific results (Results);
- conclusions and prospects for further development in this direction (Conclusions);
- the name and number of the project within which the presented results were obtained, and, at the author’s request, mention of organizations, people who contributed or sponsored the research (Acknowledgements).
The volume of the article, including text, tables, figures, should be from 6 to 10 pages. It is recommended that the area occupied by figures should not exceed 25% of the total volume. The material should be presented concisely, without repeating the data of tables and figures in the text. It is unacceptable to use such formatting elements as “section break from a new page” and headers.
Figures (diagrams, photos, etc.) are submitted together with the text in the places of references to them and necessarily in separate files in color and black and white images (*.TIFF, *.jpg, etc.) with a resolution of at least 300 dpi. The desired width of the figures is 8.15 cm or no more than 17 cm for maps, diagrams and other three-dimensional materials. The figure should be centered, without text wrapping. Figures should be placed “in the text” (not in tables). Symbols, captions, and lines of figures should be designed in such a way that they are perceived after the figure is resized to the width of 1 column. Captions to figures should contain numbering in the order of placement in the text and an explanatory caption, highlighted in italics. It is unacceptable to include captions in the figure itself.
Formulas in articles should be typed using the formula editor (internal formula editor in Microsoft Word for Windows or MathType editor, style – mathematical (italic), formula size – 12 pt. Formulas longer than 8 cm are divided into separate blocks up to 8 cm (with some exceptions – 17 cm). Formulas are separated from the text at the top and bottom by one space. The numbering of formulas to which there are references in the text is on the right in brackets. All physical quantities are given in the SI system. Whole parts from decimals are separated by a dot.
Tables are presented in portrait orientation, they must have thematic headings and numbers, the background of the table is not highlighted in a different color. The desired length of the table is no more than one page, width – 8.15 or 17 cm. The recommended size of characters in tables is 8–9 pt (for large ones, not less than 6 pt).
The list of references is given in the order of appearance of references in the text. In The list of references should have at least 12 references. The list of references should be divided as follows: self-citations up to 15%, foreign publications 50% and more, let's say 5% of publications are older than 10 years. References to literary sources in the text of the article are given in the order of their citation in the List of References in square brackets with the serial number of the bibliographic reference. The list of References is drawn up in accordance with the APA (American Psychological Association (APA) Style) standard. The names of articles, journals, publishing houses, etc., given in Cyrillic, must be transliterated into Latin with the indication of the original language (for example, (in Ukrainian) ).
Information about authors in electronic form: surname, full name and patronymic, academic degree, academic title, place of work (full name of the organization), full title of position, city, country, contact telephone numbers, e-mail and ORCID identifier are given in in a separate file in Ukrainian and English.
There is no fee for publishing articles in the journal.
